Conformance Target

This website targets the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, a widely used baseline for accessible web content. This is a forward-looking design and development target for ashervose.com, not a claim that a formal third-party accessibility audit has been completed.

WCAG 2.2 is built around four principles: content should be perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. We design and build new pages on this site against those four principles.

Technology Basis

This site is built with Next.js. Policy pages such as this one, the Privacy Policy, and the Terms of Service are server-rendered and do not require client-side JavaScript to read their content.

Sitewide, the underlying template provides:

A "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page, and a single labelled main landmark for the page content.
Header and footer navigation regions marked up as labelled landmarks, with interactive links and buttons sized to a minimum 44×44px touch target and a visible focus outline for keyboard navigation.
Support for both light and dark colour schemes, and respect for the operating system's reduced-motion preference where animation is used.
Expandable content sections (for example on the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service pages) use the native HTML details/summary disclosure pattern, so they stay operable without custom scripting.

The points above reflect a review of this site's own source code, not the output of a completed assistive-technology audit (screen reader, switch access, voice control) across every page.
